He was referring to the force of words as a tool of creation. “In the beginning, God said let there be light and there was light.” God used His words to create the world. Jesus spoke the word, and the sick were healed. He told us that if we believed that what we said was true, then what we said would be done for us. Words of affirmation have the power of creation. We send them forth, out of our mouths, and they return fulfilled. What Are Your Words Of Affirmation Creating? Unfortunately, too many of us are speaking words that we do not want returned to us fulfilled. We freely speak of our fears or our troubles, unaware of the power these words add to the unwanted situations in our lives. We spend a great deal of time complaining about the things others are doing to us, not knowing we are simply drawing more of the same. We enjoy discussing the problems of the world without realizing we are making a contribution to the difficulties with our words. When people first learn of the power of words of affirmation, they often feel foolish using their words to create the reality they want. They are so used to speaking in the negative; it feels strange to speak in a positive way. Actually, the sounds of positive words often feel unusual to the people around us. Most people would not think anything was out of the ordinary if they heard their neighbor cursing his car. “You lousy old wreck. You are always breaking down when I need you the most. I can’t wait to get rid of you.” Upon hearing these words, we smile and nod with agreement. What would we do if we observed our neighbor stroking his car and telling her just how beautiful she is? “You are so perfect. You always start right up and get me where I need to be. I can always depend on you.” We would probably snicker, commenting under our breath about our neighbor’s unstable mental condition. Listen To The Words of Affirmations Others Use! Listen to the words of others as you go through your day. Are they positive? Are these words what people want to create? Listen to your words and ask yourself the same questions. You will be amazed at how people are using this powerful force of creation, unaware of its effect on their lives. If you want to manifest abundance and prosperity, you must learn to consciously use your words to create the reality of your choice. You must become aware of the words you are currently using and their effects. You must decide what you want to create in your life and use words to bring those things to pass.
